Our local family-owned and operated business has been proudly servicing the Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast Shire and the Bellarine Peninsula since opening in 1970. It all began when Founder John Guiney decided to purchase one humble trailer in need of repair, and with great care he made what was run-down and old into something of great use. Before he knew it everyone wanted to try out the spruced-up trailer and under the shelter of a Swanston Street service station in South Geelong, Belgrove Hiring Service was born.

While we now operate under the name Belgrove Hire Geelong, we still maintain the same ethos and drive for providing durable equipment for local hire. In the heart of South Geelong – the corner of Steel Street and Gravel Pits Road has been our home for 50 years and is where our array of tools and equipment can be sourced from. Mark Guiney grew up around the business, watching his dad build it up from nothing and has worked here ever since, while embodying the Belgrove Hire spirit of being resourceful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He now acts as Managing Director, while his father John prefers to now spend his free time tending to his farms and livestock.
